About Me

Hello, I'm Alex. I was born in Califorina and grew up in the Arizona Sonoran Desert. From a young age, I developed a deep passion for art. Since I was a kid, I have always been intrigued by any topic related to art, design, theatre, and films. This was a world I have always aspired to be part of, and my interests have only expanded and deepened since then.

My art journey started becoming more attainable after I made the venturous decision to move over 2,000 miles from my hometown to the East Coast. This has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. I am a firm believer that embracing change in all aspects of life is crucial for personal growth. Change is the only constant, and embracing it brought me to Virginia.

In Virginia, I began my college journey at Tidewater Community College. I am proud to say I graduated from TCC with an Associate's degree in Graphic Design in 2024. TCC has played a crucial role in expanding my knowledge and skills, and I am profoundly grateful for the education I've received there. The change of environment and experiences have significantly influenced my academic and professional goals, steering me towards a fulfilling career in the arts.

During my time at TCC, I cultivated a diverse set of skills in graphic design, web design, illustrating, videography, and photography. In my free time, I also enjoy various hands-on crafts like sewing, crocheting, painting, drawing, clay making, and having my Cricut machine assist me for these projects. This broad range of interests allows me to bring a unique multimedia approach to my work.

As I prepare to continue my education at Christopher Newport University this fall, I aim to further develop my skills and achieve my academic goals. My ultimate goal is to build a fulfilling career in the arts by creating meaningful and rewarding work that goes beyond being just a source of income, ensuring that every project brings fulfillment and significance. I remain passionate about making a positive impact through my creations and look forward to the opportunities ahead.
